New Zealand beat Pakistan by 47 runs in first ODI

Abu Dhabi: In the first ODI on Wednesday New Zealand beat Pakistan by 47 runs with Trent Boult claiming a hat-trick.

Chasing a target of 267, Pakistan bowed out at 219 in 47.2 overs.

Boult sent to pavilion Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam and Mohammad Fafeez reducing the team to 8/3.

““It's nice to be back out there and get the win for the boys,” Boult was quoted as saying.

Opting for batting winning the toss, New Zealand amassed a daunting total of 266/9.
