'Madhyamam' with the flag of memory of freedom struggle

The run-up to the 75th anniversary of the nation's independence from foreign dominance has already begun. The ones who made India's dream of freedom a reality are thousands of brave souls who dedicated their life and struggle to the country. And the historic mission that is for us to recall and pass to the new generation is the spirit of unity they imparted through their noble sacrifice.

On the day of Quit India's anniversary, Madhyamam is glad to share with its readers that it is taking upon itself that historic mission, as an Indian newspaper published from seven countries giving voice to the voiceless for the past three and a half decades and serving as the pulse of the land and the breath of Indian diaspora.

2021 is also the centenary year of the Malabar revolution, the shining chapter of the Indian freedom struggle. Through the year when we remember the heroic freedom fighters, who lie forgotten in books of history, Madhyamam is planning a year-long campaign in which the country will be celebrated as a garden of diversity. As part of this, a variety of programmes is being lined up involving administrators, diplomats, political leaders, writers, heirs of freedom fighters, expatriate leaders and students.

The official launch of this campaign will be held on August 15. Madhyamam proudly welcomes everyone to join hands with this endeavour to keep alive the flame of freedom.
