Vision 2026 wins appreciation for service during lockdown

New Delhi:  Vision 2026, a community upliftment initiative,  pioneered by non-governmental organisations,  Human Welfare Foundation and Society for Bright Future,  have won accolate for the emergency relief rendered for those in hardship during the lockdown. 

The letter of appreciation for the services in support of health workers engaged in covid prevention and inter-state migrant labourers,  was handed over by the South East district magistrate Harleen Kaur to the official of Vision.  

Vision's volunteers delivered cooked food to 1,58,6700 migrant and homeless people in various places of the country.

Further, 10,000 families were given access to the various government relief and welfare schemes.  Iqra Hospital, Kozhikode, which was turned into a Covid care centre, was provided with an ICU unit with advanced bio-medical equipment. 

Al-Shifa Hospital Delhi and 7 medical centers established under Vision all over India provided free and concessional treatment to patients including delivery cases.  Health workers engaged in Covid prevention,  police personnel and voluntary workers were supplied with PPE kits,  facemasks,  gloves and sanitisers. 

In all, Vision's outreach endeavours benefited people in 138 districts across 19 states in the country.
