No documents needed for NPR: Union Home Ministry

New Delhi: No person needs to submit any documents during the survey for National Population Register, said The Union Home Ministry on Wednesday, clarifying that information provided by individuals would be accepted and recorded.

The Union Home Ministry’s response came following a report by The Hindu in this regard.

In many tweets, the Ministry denied a report in The Hindu titled NPR trial form gets government nod for rollout appeared on January 1.

“The line taken by the story is incorrect, without taking into account the factual position for conducting NPR.” Said the official tweet.
