Mumbai: After Maharashtra government made it clear that no Muslim was included among those who were arrested in connection with the Palghar lynching case, RSS is trying to put the blame on Christian missionaries and CPM.
A report published by RSS mouthpiece The Organiser, alleges that all the 110 people arrested were CPM workers. The report suggests that the lynching was the result of a conspiracy by CPM and Christian groups in a region which has roots for the missionary groups.
Saints Kalpavriksha Giri, Susheel Giri and their driver were lynched to death.
The Organiser report alleges that the CPM workers carrying batons and stones were acting with the tacit consent of the police.
Two police officers were suspended in connection with the incident. Assistant Police Inspector Anand Rao Kale, Sub Inspector Sudir Katare were served suspension orders after the incident.
