CJI directs CBI to take action against Justice VK Tahilramani

New Delhi: Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has directed CBI to take action in accordance with law against Madras high court chief justice VK Tahilramani.

Alongside alleged irregularities in her purchase of two flats, she was allegedly having close links with a Tamil Nadu minister.

Justice Tahilramani resigned days ago after CJI-led collegium reiterated its decision to transfer her to Meghalaya HC as chief Justice.

The collegium stuck to its decision despite her request to reconsider it, which the collegium reportedly recorded as “It is not possible to accede to her request”.
