Ahead of SC verdict, Muslims seek paramilitary deployed in Ayodhya

Faizabad/Lucknow: Muslims in Ayodhya asked the district administration to deploy armed forces ahead of the Supreme Court verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi-Babari Masjit case.

In a meeting with Faizabad district administration, representatives of the community raised the demand for armed forces to be deployed in areas where Muslim community is densely populated.

Talking to The Times of India, Ulema Hind, Ayodhya unit general secretary Hafiz Irfaan said that they have full faith in the administration and are confidence it would ensure peace and harmony.

Also, the deployment of central forces would give more assurance to the community, he said.

Meanwhile, UP CM Yogi Adityanath has asked his ministers not to make any controversial statements on the Ayodhya verdict.
