No tie-up with AGP for LS polls: BJP

Guwahati: BJP is not in for any tie-up with the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) for upcoming Lok Sabha election.

The former ruling ally of BJP snapped ties with BJP in January after BJP pushed for for the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.

AGP expressed its desire to forge ties with the BJP again after the Bill could not be passed in the Rajya Sabha on February 13.

The state BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, however, said that the party was keen on improving up its 2014 LS polls performance when it bagged seven of 14 seats.
