New Delhi: Protesting the passage of National Medical Commission Bill, the Resident Doctors' Association is observing a one-day "token" strike across the country on Thursday.

Dubbing the Bill "draconian", Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), stated that by approving the undemocratic NMC Bill, 2019, the Lower House put health care and medical education of this country into darkness

PGIMER, Chandigarh will stage a protest along with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) against the Bill.

The outfit believes that the proposed Bill would uptick corruption while depleting autonomy in medicine.
