Nalini Chidambaram served chargesheet

Chennai: A special court in Egmore served chargesheet to Nalini Chidambaram, advocate and wife of former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, and daughter-in-law, in a case under the Black Money Act.

Her son Karthi Chidambaram did not appear in the court yesterday.

The trio allegedly did not disclose immovable assets worth ₹5.37 crore at Cambridge in the United Kindgom. Alongside, Chidambaram had not disclosed account details in MetroBank, UK and investments in the US.

Karthi Chidambaram glossed over his investments in Chess Global Advisory Company.

The trio earlier unsuccessfully moved Madras High Court for stay. Trial has been posted to September 3
