Makkah Masjid blast case: NIA didn’t examine major evidence – Caravan Editor

New Delhi: National Investigation Agency ignored major evidences in terror cases in which Sangh Parivar leaders were arrested,  Editor of Caravan magazine Vinod K. Jose has alleged.

The allegation was made after an NIA special court acquitted the main accused in Makkah Masjid blast case on Monday. Vinod K. Jose in a Facebook post alleged that a nine-hour long tape record of confession statement of Swami Aseemananda was ignored by the agency.

NIA had informed that they would come to Caravan, to obtain the tape that was recorded in Ambala jail. However, they have not turned up so far,  said Jose.

In the Facebook post, Vinod has also posted relevant parts from Aseemananda’s confession. It says that the blast was carried out as per the instruction from the higher body of RSS. Mohan Bhagwat- current head of RSS, and Indresh Kumar –RSS executive committee member visited Aseemananda at thetemple at Dangs in Gujarat.

“The CBI passed on many volumes of evidence to the NIA when it took over all Hindu terror cases. Hemant Karkare’s Maharashtra ATS also passed on its painstakingly gathered evidences. The bureaucrats who worked dubiously in this period, later contested on BJP ticket to parliament, all became MPs, and some became ministers.  NIA failed cases one after the other, and the celebrated new agency’s record suddenly became worse than the CBI,” the post reads.
