8 SIMI activists, who escaped from Bhopal jail, killed in encounter

Bhopal: Eight activists of banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), who broke out of Bhopal Central Jail after killing a guard, were killed in an encounter in Eintkhedi village on Monday. 

"All eight SIMI terrorists were killed in an encounter near Manikhedi Pathar village," a senior police officer told IANS.

According to police, the terrorists were gunned down about 30 km north of Bhopal.

The terrorists were killed in cross-fire, police said.
