Jammu: Pakistani troops resorted to heavy shelling on Tuesday in Naushera sector of the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
Defence spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta said: "The Pakistan Army violated ceasefire in Naushera sector at 8.30 a.m."
"They used 82 mm mortars and automatics to target Indian positions in Laam area."
"Firing exchanges are still going on in the area," Mehta added
