New Delhi: Harishankar Brahma Friday assumed charge as the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) here, succeeding V.S. Sampath.
Sampath completed his tenure Thursday.
Brahma, who served as Election Commissioner since Aug 25, 2010, plans to use latest technology to improve the quality of election management, official sources said.
