UPSC civil services main examination results declared

New Delhi: The results of civil services (main) examination, 2014 were declared on Sunday by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

The personality test of successful candidates is likely to commence from 27 April, the UPSC said.

The results have been declared pending the outcome of a review petition filed in the Supreme Court by the Centre seeking to review its recent verdict that scrapped reservation for Jat community, official sources said.

However, there was no mention of the Supreme Court case in the press release issued late at night by the Commission.

A list carrying roll numbers of successful candidates have been put up on the UPSC's website - www.upsc.gov.in.

Thousands of students appeared in the prestigious civil services (main) examination held during 14-20 December, 2014.

The examination is conducted annually by the UPSC to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.

The examination is conducted in three stages - preliminary, main and interview.
