BJP gives "do or die" call against TMC in West Bengal

Kolkata: Giving a "do or die" call to its workers against Trinamool regime in West Bengal, BJP state leadership in presence of party chief Amit Shah has chalked out a strategy for the 2016 Assembly polls with Saradha Ponzi scam as its trump card.

Soon after its two-day brainstorming session to decide a future course before the crucial 2016 Assembly elections, which was attended by Shah on the concluding day, BJP national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh said it was "do or die" for BJP in West Bengal.

"In presence of our national president, three things have been decided. One is to increase the campaign programme against TMC and Mamata Banerjee over the Saradha chit fund scam through signature campaigns, posters and grassroot-level meetings to expose the TMC fully," said Singh.

The second is to strengthen our booth level committees and to induct new cadres including lawyers, because we are being attacked every day and we need lawyers who can contest cases for us. And thirdly, holding of training camps for our workers and cadres on a regular basis," he said.

Shah in his speech extended full support to the BJP state unit and said the central leadership would stand beside the state unit, Singh said.

"Our party president too stressed on the need to increase our strength, based on the present situation and also said the party's central leadership stands firmly beside the state unit," he added.
