Dubai: UAE is gearing up for challenging weather conditions set to commence on Wednesday. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected over scattered areas, along with the possibility of lightning, thunder and hail. Drawing from recent events, the upcoming scenario will differ from the rainfall experienced on April 16.
The forecast indicates that the weather situation will escalate on May 2-3, identified as the 'peak' period. Cloud formation is expected to originate in the south of Abu Dhabi, gradually moving towards internal regions like Al Ain.
Residents are urged to prepare for unsettled weather conditions, with a focus on May 2-3 as the most critical timeframe. Even though the situation will be challenging, it will not mirror previous occurrences.
May 3 is highlighted as the 'peak' of the weather situation, with the possibility of hail over eastern areas extending to internal and western regions.
According to forecasts from the Met Department, inclement weather will begin from the west on Wednesday night, extending over most areas by Thursday. Temperatures are expected to significantly decrease, accompanied by convective clouds primarily in the daytime.
Improvement in weather conditions is anticipated over Friday-Saturday, with low pressure gradually moving southward. This will lead to a decrease in cloud cover and light to moderate rain in general.
