UAE leads Arab world in creative thinking and financial literacy

The UAE has secured the top position in the Arab world for creative thinking and financial literacy, according to the latest Programme for International Student Assessment (Pisa) results. The assessment, conducted every three years, evaluates educational systems by testing students' skills and knowledge globally. The results were revealed during a forum hosted by the UAE on June 27-28.

In the 2022 evaluation, the UAE led the Arab world in financial literacy and, alongside Qatar, excelled in creative thinking. The country has incorporated Pisa outcomes to assess student performance in these areas, focusing on enhancing cognitive skills and financial management abilities.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the OECD, included sessions on the future of education in the region, best practices and the development of educational systems. Experts and researchers presented papers on educational advancements, contributing to the dialogue on improving academic standards.
