UAE: IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi opens admissions for undergraduate programs

The admission process for undergraduate courses at the newly established IIT-Delhi campus in Abu Dhabi has commenced. This follows a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the Indian Ministry of Education and Abu Dhabi’s Education and Knowledge Department (ADEK) during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the UAE last year.

For the 2024-25 academic year, IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi is offering B. Tech. programs in computer science and engineering and energy engineering, each with 30 seats. Admissions will be through the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) 2024 and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE–Advanced) 2024.

Eligibility criteria for CAET include securing at least 75% in Class XII or being in the top 20 percentile, being born on or after October 1, 1999 (with age relaxation as per UAE policy) and other specific conditions. Applicants must also secure a valid score in EmSAT or SAT.

Eligible applicants include Indian nationals who are children of UAE residents and international students holding PIO or OCI cards issued after March 4, 2021. Marks in physics, chemistry, mathematics, language and other subjects will be considered for aggregate scores. UAE nationals with one year of compulsory military service are given a one-year relaxation.
