Sharjah: A tragic incident has shaken the community of Sharjah as a 7-year-old boy lost his life after being left unattended inside a car. According to the Sharjah Police report, the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, raising concerns about child safety and the responsibility of caregivers.
The victim, a young student of Asian nationality, was left inside the vehicle parked outside his school in the morning hours. His parents had entrusted his transportation to a female driver, who was reportedly unlicensed. Upon arriving at the school, all passengers left, unaware that the child remained inside the car. The driver, failing to conduct a thorough check, locked the vehicle and departed with her husband.
Tragically, when it was time for students to return home, the young boy was discovered lifeless inside the car, succumbing to the extreme heat. The incident notifies the critical importance of ensuring proper supervision and adherence to safety protocols, especially when entrusted with the care of children.
Authorities have issued a stern warning to residents against employing unlicensed drivers for student transportation. Parents are strongly urged to utilize designated school buses, which are equipped with comprehensive security measures and undergo regular monitoring by authorities.
Alternatively, parents are encouraged to personally transport their children to school whenever feasible, as they are best positioned to ensure their safety.
