The Sheikh Zayed Festival will feature a new Emirati musical work, Jamal Al Ittihad on Saturday. The production is described by organisers as a UAE-born project that draws on national themes of unity, coexistence, resilience, hope and humanity.
Burjeel Holdings led the initiative in cooperation with composer A. R. Rahman, who worked on the music with the aim of reaching audiences in the UAE and abroad. According to the organisers, the project is intended to highlight a set of values that remain central to the country’s identity and to share them with a wider international public.
Presenting the piece during the Sheikh Zayed Festival adds weight to the launch, situating it within one of the country’s busiest annual gatherings. The festival attracts residents and visitors from across the Emirates, giving the musical work immediate exposure at a venue known for heritage activities, performances and community events.
Omran Al Khoori, Board Member at Burjeel Holdings, said the group views the presentation of Jamal Al Ittihad as a moment of national pride. He added that the Sheikh Zayed Festival provides the ideal platform to present this work to the public at a time when the nation celebrates its journey.
