Sharjah: Authorities in Sharjah have declared that schools will reopen for in-person classes starting Monday, April 29. This decision comes after a period of distance learning, which was initiated due to concerns over unstable weather conditions in the UAE.
Following the announcement on April 15, private schools in Sharjah shifted to distance learning mode to ensure the safety of students amidst anticipated adverse weather conditions. Online classes commenced on April 18 and were extended multiple times due to ongoing weather challenges.
The decision to extend distance learning until April 25 was made in response to the aftermath of the heaviest rainfall witnessed in the UAE in 75 years. Authorities prioritized the well-being of students and staff by opting for remote learning during this period of inclement weather.
With weather conditions stabilizing, schools in Sharjah are poised to resume regular operations with the resumption of in-person classes. Authorities have assured the implementation of stringent safety measures to safeguard the health and well-being of students and staff.
