Dubai: Lulu Retail has announced nine strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) at Gulfood 2025, strengthening its position as a leading global retailer. These agreements, signed with manufacturers from Italy, Spain, Portugal and India, aim to expand Lulu’s diverse product offerings across the GCC and beyond.
One of the most significant announcements is the launch of Saudi Arabia’s Milaf Cola, a carbonated date beverage, in Lulu stores across the GCC, with plans for expansion into India. This comes as part of an MOU signed between Lulu Retail and Al Madina Heritage, a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF). The agreement was formalized at the Lulu Pavilion at Gulfood, with Yusuffali M.A, Chairman of Lulu Group and Engr. Bandar Al Qahtani, CEO of Al Madina Heritage, leading the signing.
Additionally, Lulu has secured a key partnership with the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) to distribute Indian agricultural products worldwide. The agreement was signed by Salim M.A, Director of Lulu Global Operations, and Dhairyashil Kanse, Joint Managing Director of NAFED, in the presence of Yusuffali M.A and other senior executives.
Further agreements were reached with major international brands, including Pasta Reggio from Italy, Frinsa Group from Spain, and The Cheesecake Factory from the United States. These collaborations align with Lulu’s goal of diversifying its offerings and bringing premium global food products to its customers.
Gulfood 2025 has once again reinforced Dubai’s status as a key hub for the global food industry. Yusuffali M.A highlighted the significance of the event, saying, "Sourcing and selling world-class products globally has always been our key strength. With our sourcing network spanning 23 countries, we are further strengthening our product portfolio by signing various MOUs with top suppliers”.
“The overwhelming turnout of exhibitors and visitors at Gulfood this year has reaffirmed Dubai’s position as the premier event hub for the food industry”, he added.
Lulu Retail also used the platform to showcase its latest range of processed foods and private-label products, drawing interest from suppliers and buyers worldwide.
With thousands of exhibitors and industry leaders participating, Gulfood 2025 has proven to be an essential event for fostering international trade, innovation and collaboration in the food and beverage sector.
