The Consulate General of India in Dubai has announced the implementation of the new Passport Seva Programme (PSP 2.0) for all passport-related services, effective Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
According to the consulate, the updated system is designed to make the passport application process faster, more transparent and easier for users. The upgraded platform will now issue e-passports containing an electronic chip that stores the passport holder’s digitized information, allowing for quicker and more secure immigration checks.
Applicants can now upload International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)-compliant photographs, signatures and supporting documents directly through the PSP 2.0 online portal: https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/gpsp/AuthNavigation/Login
The online uploads are expected to reduce waiting times at BLS International centers across the UAE.
The new system also allows minor corrections to be made at BLS centers without requiring retyping of forms and no additional fees will be charged for such edits.
