Dubai-based Emirates Airlines has resumed its daily passenger flights to Lagos, Nigeria, after a two-year hiatus. The airline had suspended operations to this popular African destination in 2022 but restarted services on October 1. The inaugural flight landed at Murtala Muhammad International Airport (MMIA), marking the return of a key travel route.
The daily flights depart from Dubai at 9:45 AM, arriving in Lagos at 3:20 PM after a seven-hour journey. The return leg from Lagos departs at 5:30 PM, landing in Dubai at 5:10 AM the following day. The flight schedule has been designed to offer optimal connections to major destinations in Europe, the US, the Far East and the Middle East, streamlining both business and leisure travel for passengers flying to and from Nigeria.
To further enhance travel convenience, Emirates is offering Nigerian travelers the ability to apply for 48-hour and 96-hour Dubai "Emirates Resumes Flights to Nigeria After Two-Year Hiatus"s exclusively through the airline, supporting those heading to Dubai or continuing to other destinations.
The Dubai-Lagos route is operated by the Boeing 777-300ER, offering passengers a choice between eight First Class suites, 42 Business Class seats, and 304 Economy Class seats, ensuring a comfortable and varied travel experience for all passengers.
