Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled a major expansion in its digital services, offering greater flexibility and convenience for residents and commuters. Among the latest announcements is the full rollout of Tabby, a popular instalment payment platform, across all RTA digital channels.

Previously limited to smart kiosks, Tabby is now available on the RTA website, app and nol Pay app, allowing users to split payments for over 170 services — including vehicle registration and license renewals, traffic fines and metro travel passes — into up to four interest-free instalments.

This move aligns with Dubai’s ongoing push toward a fully cashless and smart city, supporting the emirate’s broader digital transformation goals.

Tabby, which serves over 15 million users and collaborates with more than 40,000 brands across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, was first introduced to RTA services in 2023. The expanded integration is expected to make transportation-related payments more accessible and manageable for Dubai residents.

The announcement comes alongside other major updates from RTA this month, including the launch of a new digital ticket inspection system.
