Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the launch of three new bus routes, set to begin operation on Friday, November 29. This move is part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity and provide more efficient transportation options for the city’s residents and visitors. Among the new routes is Route 108, which will connect Satwa Bus Station directly to Global Village. This route will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and during special events. The service will run from 2 PM to 1 AM the following day, offering eleven trips in each direction with a frequency of sixty minutes.
Another addition is Route F63, a feeder service for Dubai Metro, which will link Al Ras Metro Station to Union Bus Station through Al Khaleej Street and Naif Street. Route J05 will connect the Mira Community with Dubai Studio City, passing through Neshama Townhouses, catering to the needs of residents and commuters in these areas.
In addition to introducing these new routes, the RTA has planned several modifications to existing bus services to improve efficiency and reduce travel times. Route 5 will now operate in both directions between Abu Hail Bus Station and Union Bus Station, no longer serving Al Ras Metro Station. Route 14 will be adjusted to terminate at Business Bay Metro Station while operating in two directions. Route 33 will be shortened to end at Karama Bus Station instead of Al Ghubaiba Bus Station. Route 91 will now include Business Bay en route to Jebel Ali Bus Station and add the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) stop in both directions.
Further changes include the adjustment of Route J02 to focus on quicker commutes between Arabian Ranches and Dubai Production City. Route J04 will expand to cover Sports City while reducing the number of stops in Dubai Studio City. Additionally, Route F38 will now serve Al Jurf Heights Group, and Route F39 will include Etihad Mall. Route X92 will be modified to incorporate the DMCC Metro Stop en route to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, with fewer stops at Dubai Investment Park.
Beyond these specific route adjustments, the RTA has announced improvements to thirty bus routes to better align with arrival times and enhance the overall travel experience for passengers. The modifications are designed to ensure smoother and more comfortable journeys, reflecting the RTA’s commitment to providing high-quality public transportation services in Dubai.
