Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced its 82nd online auction offering 300 premium number plates for private vehicles, classic vehicles and motorcycles.
The auction will include two-, three-, four- and five-digit plates, giving vehicle owners access to a wide range of combinations. Plate numbers will be issued under the codes H, I, K, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y and Z, covering both private and classic vehicle categories.
Registration for the auction will open on Monday, February 2, while bidding will begin on Monday, February 9. The auction will be conducted online and will remain open for seven days. All transactions will be subject to a 5 per cent value-added tax. Participation is limited to customers who hold an active traffic file in Dubai.
To register, bidders are required to submit a Dh5,000 security cheque payable to RTA, along with a non-refundable registration fee of Dh120. Registration can be completed at Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha and Deira or through the RTA website using a credit card.
RTA said successful bidders must complete payment within 10 working days from the auction’s closing date. Payments can be made at authorised service centres, with cash accepted for amounts up to Dh50,000, while payments exceeding Dh50,000 must be made by manager’s cheque or credit card.
Payments are also accepted at Customer Happiness Centres or through the RTA’s online platform.
