Dubai: Dubai Government has declared remote learning for all private schools in the emirate on Thursday and Friday (May 2 and 3). The decision was made during a meeting of Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, aiming to prioritise the safety and security of the community.
The Supreme Committee convened to review the potential impact of the upcoming weather forecast. Recognizing the need to safeguard the well-being of students and staff, the committee swiftly decided to implement remote learning for all private educational institutions in Dubai.
Following the committee's decision, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) took to social media to communicate the directive. In a post, KHDA emphasized the necessity of adhering to safety measures amidst the predicted weather instability.
KHDA said "With unstable weather predicted, all Dubai private schools, nurseries, and universities must offer distance learning on Thursday, May 2 & Friday, May 3. Stay safe everyone."
