Arab Media Forum begins today in Dubai, centred on regional developments

Dubai: The 22nd edition of the Arab Media Forum, part of the Arab Media Summit 2024, will begin today, May 28th, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will gather over 4,000 media professionals, scholars and influencers from the UAE and beyond to discuss the future of the region’s media landscape.

The forum will feature 110 sessions covering political, economic, social, technological and cultural developments influencing media transformation. High-profile speakers include Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, Prime Minister of Yemen; Jasem Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC; Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture of Kuwait; Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President; and Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications.


The first day will host the Arab Media Award ceremony, honouring 14 winners for their excellence in media. The second day will feature the Arab Social Media Influencers Award, recognizing outstanding digital influencers.

On Monday, the Arab Media Summit's opening day, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the Arab Youth Media Forum, where Dr Sultan Al Neyadi emphasized the UAE’s commitment to empowering youth.
