The United Arab Emirates has officially launched the world's first mobile medical centre for civil aviation medical services. The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in collaboration with GMC Clinics Group, initiated the centre to provide all medical services, laboratory and clinical examinations specialized in civil aviation medicine in light of the repercussions of the pandemic.
The mobile medical centre's services include medical examinations for workers in the aviation sector, such as those required by air traffic controllers, pilots and cabin crew of flight attendants. It has the international authorization for issuing medical certificates necessary for the continuity of work in the aviation sector at all levels.
"Saif Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, Director General of GCAA, stated that this specialized centre provides world-class mobile medical services in the aviation sector that goes to great lengths to present the UAE as a model in the development of service functions in this area", Al Bayan quoted.
