Social media users have circulated a photo of Yahya Mohamed Ramadan, a child who recently passed away in Makkah. Yahya, from Kafr El Sheikh Governorate in Egypt, was accompanying his parents during Hajj.
The news of his death has been met with great sadness in his hometown. Yahya gained attention on Facebook after a photograph of him in Ihram attire next to the Holy Kaaba was shared, making him known as the youngest Egyptian pilgrim.
Yahya could not withstand the high temperatures and passed away in the Holy Mosque while his parents were performing Hajj rituals. Followers have expressed their condolences and prayed for Yahya and his family, asking for mercy and patience.
