Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) got praised by a delegation from the United States Congress for promoting human values and world peace, Arab News reported citing Saudi Press Agency.
The league received the appreciation at a meeting between the delegation and MWL's secretary-general Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Iss in Riyadh, capital
The United States delegation included Chris Stewart, Lisa McClain and Guy Reschenthaler, the representatives of Utah, Michigan and Pennsylvania, respectively.
The meeting tabled many issues of common interest. Al-Issa asserted that Saudi Arabia is the unifying element of the Islamic world.
The delegation also lauded the MWL for its dominant role in creating alliances at the national level and between international organizations, consolidating the values of friendship and cooperation among nations as well as their people.
