Riyadh: Saudi Arabian Airlines introduced a new luggage service policy where the luggage of the Hajj pilgrims will be collected and delivered from their place of accommodation to the right airport baggage centre. The luggage will be taken 24 hrs before departure from hotels at Makkah and Madinah. Boarding passes and check-in tags will also be provided by the airlines.
The services are a part of Saudi Arabia's new initiative to make easy travel arrangements for the passengers. The policies will help to reduce inconvenience faced by passengers during baggage and check-in procedures.
Awareness campaigns launched by Saudia will guide the passengers through the customs and regulations that are to be followed while traveling home.
Baggage claim and delivery procedure information will be provided through signs written in 6 different languages. These signs will be posted at 20 international and domestic stations, hotels, campsites, and holy sites at Makkah and Madinah.
The luggage should be organized and packed carefully. Zamzam water, bags with loose or long straps, and damaged boxes will not be allowed in the luggage.
Those passengers willing to utilize the facility can contact the service via e-mail or WhatsApp.
