The first flight of Indian Hajj pilgrims received a warm welcome at Madinah Airport, with Ambassador Suhel Khan joining Minister of Transport & Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser in greeting them.
Jeddah: The first groups of pilgrims from various countries have arrived in Saudi Arabia ahead of this year's Hajj. Among them were 283 pilgrims from India, who were greeted at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah by Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Abdel Fattah bin Sulaiman Mashat, Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah.
Al-Jasser said that 7,700 flights carrying Hajj pilgrims will arrive at six airports this year, with Saudi authorities committed to providing the best services. More than 27,000 buses will be in service and the high-speed Al-Haramain and Al-Mashaer trains will complete over 5,000 journeys.
Suhel Ajaz Khan, the Indian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, assured that the Indian mission is fully prepared to welcome Indian pilgrims and ensure a fulfilling Hajj 2024 experience. He highlighted the efforts of the Indian Consulate General in Jeddah and relevant ministries of the Indian government, along with support from Saudi agencies, to facilitate a smooth pilgrimage.
