Saudi launches' Tawakkalna Services' app with 140 services

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has released the new Tawakkalna Services app. The app will provide 140 services in the areas of health, education, transport, Islamic and public services and entertainment, Arab News reported.

The services include "rendering driving licence, insurance documentation, passport inquiries and requests, a digital wallet approved by government agencies, charitable donations, data correction, and information verification," Arab News reports.

The app, which is launched as part of the Vision 2030 objectives, allows users to purchase tickets for events. The SDAIA said that the new app was launched based on the success of the Tawakkalna app, the original, which has 27 million-plus users.

The new app is similar to the original app, Tawakkalna, which was launched during the pandemic period to manage and cater for the situation then. The new app has more options compared to the old one and is more detailed.

In Tawakkalna Services, the QR code and Covid-19 health status sections were removed since the app is not entirely for health-related purposes. Tawakkalna was entirely for health status it had options features like the health passport, coronavirus tests, vaccine services, and travel requirements. It provided health-related services such as e-permits and health status verification, which were intended to contain the pandemic virus.

Foreign nationals who are in the Kingdom could register into Tawakkalna Services using their passport number or national ID, date of birth and mobile number.
