Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif held official talks on Sunday with Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.
Prince Abdulaziz said the meeting reflected the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to deepen security cooperation, building on the strong ties between the two Gulf states.
The two ministers reviewed bilateral relations and discussed expanding cooperation in security fields. Talks focused on intelligence sharing, combating organized crime, strengthening training systems and developing human capacities. They also agreed to enhance the use of advanced security technologies and coordinate on border protection to safeguard the stability of both countries.
Both sides praised the work of the Military and Security Coordination Committee, part of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council and stressed the importance of strengthening joint security efforts in line with the aspirations of their leaderships.
Prince Abdulaziz was also briefed on Kuwait’s initiatives to boost security, fight crime and implement modern technological systems across its interior ministry departments. Senior officials from both countries attended the meeting.
