Saudi, France sign deal to aid Lebanon's food & health

Riyadh: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in Saudi Arabia has signed agreements to aid Lebanon in the food and health sector, Arab News reported.

Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday that the two memorandums of understanding were signed in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, with the French ministries of foreign affairs and Development Agency.

As per the agreement, the Kingdom and France will contribute USD38 million each in the first phase to meet urgent humanitarian demands, and relief works in Lebanon.

Saudi Press Agency informed that the agreements were in the interests of the Saudi-French partnership. The deals also show the Kingdom's keenness to stand with the people of Lebanon, to support them in achieving stability and overcoming the crisis they are in.
