Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that visa issuance and the entry of pilgrims for the new Umrah season will begin on May 31, corresponding to Dhul Hijjah 14, as part of a newly released operational calendar aimed at streamlining pilgrimage services and improving the experience for worshippers arriving from across the world.
The ministry stated that the updated calendar includes a detailed schedule covering visa processing, contractual procedures and electronic services to ensure smoother coordination for Umrah operators and pilgrims throughout the season.
Although Umrah visas and pilgrim arrivals will begin from May 31, pilgrims will only be able to obtain Umrah permits to enter Makkah through the “Nusuk” application starting June 1. Saudi authorities said the digital permit system was intended to regulate pilgrim movement and improve crowd management during the season.
The ministry further announced that March 9, 2027, would be the final date for issuing Umrah visas for the upcoming season. Pilgrims holding Umrah visas will be allowed to enter Saudi Arabia only until March 23, 2027.
According to the official schedule, all Umrah pilgrims must complete their pilgrimage and leave the country no later than April 7, 2027.
The ministry has also directed all Umrah companies and foreign agents to strictly adhere to the announced timelines and operational guidelines to ensure uninterrupted services and avoid violations during the season.
