Saudi Arabia said early Tuesday that debris from intercepted ballistic missiles had fallen near energy facilities, with damage assessments under way.
The Ministry of Defence reported that seven missiles targeting the Eastern Region were intercepted and destroyed, with fragments landing in nearby areas. Three additional ballistic missiles aimed at the Eastern Province were also intercepted, according to an official update.
The incidents come amid continued missile and drone launches by Iran toward Gulf countries since February 28, following military action by the United States and Israel.
Tensions have extended to global energy markets, with Iran’s actions in the Strait of Hormuz contributing to higher prices. While some vessel movement has resumed, restrictions in the waterway have affected supply flows.
Gulf states have criticised attacks on energy infrastructure, with wider international concern over developments in the conflict.
Iran has also carried out strikes against Israel and US-linked targets in the region.
In Washington, US President Donald Trump set a deadline for Iran to reach an agreement, warning of military action if it fails to respond by Tuesday night.
Iran signalled resistance to pressure over reopening the Strait of Hormuz while indicating it is seeking a longer-term resolution to the conflict.
