Riyadh Winter Wonderland: A new concept in the entertainment industry

Riyadh: Riyadh Season's Winter Wonderland zone, which was kicked off with fireworks on Wednesday in Saudi Arabia's capital continues to offer various activities and interesting games for visitors of all ages. The zone which is the fifth one among 14 entertainment zones to open in this year's Riyadh Season, put forwards a new concept in the entertainment industry.

The zone begins serving visitors before their arrival through the frequency buses lined up to take them to the site, in a suitable atmosphere that helps prepare them for the entertainment that begins with their arrival in record time to the gates, and then to the ticket booths, in a continuous movement to provide a satisfying experience for all visitors.

Winter Wonderland includes six areas: Dreamland Carnival, Snow Forest, Magic Box, Horror Adventures, Wonder Road, and Winter Festival.


The kiosks spread in Wonderland offer competitive games that attract visitors and pose challenges for them to win gifts. The challenges include Bounce, Catch-a-duck, ball throwing, throwing the ball on a rubber board, and sticking to the stick games.

The Snow Forest sub-zone is very popular and long queues wait to access its exceptional games and unique experiences. Horror, testing their ability to endure and enjoy the experience. The Horror sub-zone offers visitors the chance to confront the characters of horror films.

Visitors can also enter the horror houses and test their ability to endure and enjoy the experience.


The zone also features games, activities, and events, including the "Magic Toy Box" for children, the world's first mobile "Skyloop," "Horror House," a skating rink, a dancing fountain, and more than 103 games.

The circus shows in Wonderland are very popular. There are 4 shows a day, each show lasts 45 minutes. This experience is enhanced with storytelling that attracts visitors and pushes them to watch the various shows.


The spirit of challenge prevails among young visitors as they try to win the challenge of the kiosks, which depend on throwing balls or sand blocks in many games to win the prize. Young visitors demonstrate their presence and prizes by carrying dolls that prove that they have won many challenges in the game kiosks.

Visitors to Riyadh Winter Wonderland can obtain customized photos to document their visit from photography studios that allow them to take group and individual photos.

This year's Riyadh Winter Wonderland has 40 per cent more space than the previous season.  There will be more games in the expanded area of 376,025 square meters. The zone which will be open until the end of March 2022 also offers countless food and drink options.

Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Season 2021 launched October 20. The mega-event was first held in 2019, beginning in October and ending in January 2020. The inaugural event saw more than 10 million venue visits at the time.
