The ongoing Riyadh Season 2024 has recorded over 16 million visits, according to General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Alalshikh. The impressive milestone highlights the sustained growth of one of Saudi Arabia’s most popular annual entertainment festivals.
The event, launched in October, continues to captivate domestic and international audiences. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) noted that the season’s success can be credited to its "diverse range of events and newly introduced areas, attracting visitors from the Kingdom and abroad".
Comparatively, the previous Riyadh Season reported 20 million visits by its conclusion in March 2024, with over 12 million visits already logged by its midpoint in January.
Key attractions contributing to Riyadh Season’s exceptional turnout include boxing and wrestling matches, international concerts, and unique dining experiences. "Its exceptional success is attributed to a wide variety of offerings, including boxing and wrestling matches, international concerts, unique dining experiences, scenic gardens, and innovative entertainment zones," the SPA stated.
The event’s popularity has also been heightened by school holidays. The SPA highlighted that the mid-term break of the second semester featured the introduction of the Dunes of Arabia area, which has become a favorite among camping and winter atmosphere enthusiasts.
Additionally, the Boulevard Runway area has drawn aviation enthusiasts, further enhancing the appeal of Riyadh Season with its immersive experiences.
With its continuous expansion and innovative entertainment zones, Riyadh Season 2024 is poised to set new attendance records, further solidifying its place as a cultural and entertainment hub in the region.
