Jeddah: The Makkah region has initiated a "No Hajj Without a Permit" campaign to mitigate overcrowding and other challenges during the upcoming pilgrimage, reports the Saudi Press Agency.
During the launch event, attended by several royals and officials, Prince Saud bin Mishaal, deputy governor of Makkah and vice chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, warned the consequences for those who disobey the law.
The permit initiative is part of the "Hajj is Worship and Civilized Behavior" campaign spearheaded by Prince Khalid bin Faisal, advisor to King Salman and governor of Makkah.
Prince Saud reiterated that compliance with regulations is essential for ensuring a safe Hajj experience for pilgrims.
Coordination efforts are underway with the Ministry of Hajj, Umrah and other government entities to enforce the law.
