LuLu Group gets KSA recognition for innovative support to ancient Arabic calligraphic heritage

Riyadh: Lulu Group gets Saudi government recognition for its innovative and contemporary support of Arabic calligraphic heritage. The Vice Minister of Culture Mr Hamed bin Mohammed Fayez presented a Memento of Recognition on behalf of the Saudi Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al-Saud to Mr Shehim Mohammed, Director of Saudi Arabia LuLu Hypermarket.

The ceremony took place on December 22 at the National Museum in Riyadh, in the presence of many VIPs, government officials and cultural figures of the Kingdom. It was the culmination of the Saudi Ministry of Culture's unique efforts to preserve, promote and celebrate the history and aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy in the Year of Arabic Calligraphy 2021.

As the only retail operator to participate in the campaign, the 24 stores in LuLu Hypermarket, Saudi Arabia successfully reimagined the flowing lines and rich historic imagery of Arabic calligraphy and aesthetics in specially designed artwork on all points of sale in materials such as LuLu Shopping bags, reusable bags and delivery boxes.
