Hajj 2026 registration begins for pilgrims from Muslim-minority countries

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has opened registration for the Hajj pilgrimage for the year 1447 AH, corresponding to 2026, for worshippers from Muslim-minority countries. The ministry announced that registration must be completed exclusively through the official Nusuk Hajj Platform at hajj.nusuk.sa, with no external intermediaries or third-party offices authorized to handle applications under the Direct Hajj Program.

The Nusuk Hajj system allows pilgrims to register, upload identification documents and provide contact details and country of residence. Each applicant can add up to seven family members under the same application. At this stage, only the registration phase has opened, with package booking and payment processes to be announced later. The platform will eventually provide access to various Hajj packages, accommodation options and local transport services within the areas of the Two Holy Mosques.

The ministry emphasized that the Nusuk Hajj Platform is the only official channel for registration and warned against unauthorized links, advertisements, or requests for payment outside the platform. Those wishing to serve as Hajj guides can also register through Nusuk, subject to approval by licensed service providers under the ministry. Support is available through live chat, email and a call center on the official website.

This development continues Saudi Arabia’s push toward digital management of pilgrimage logistics, building on systems introduced in recent years to centralize accommodation, transport and licensing services. The ministry’s focus on Muslim-minority countries is seen as an effort to streamline access for smaller communities and ensure fair distribution of Hajj quotas.

More than 1.7 million pilgrims participated in last year’s Hajj. With registration now open, attention will turn to the forthcoming booking phase and the capacity allotted to each eligible country. The ministry urged prospective pilgrims to follow official updates only through the Nusuk Hajj website.
