His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a meeting with Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, at Al Barakah Palace on Tuesday to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation.
The two leaders reviewed ways to enhance partnership and investment across key sectors, aligning with the shared aspirations of both nations. Discussions focused on new areas for collaboration in trade, energy and investment, with an emphasis on facilitating joint ventures and mutual economic growth.
From Oman, the meeting was attended by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority; and Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals.
The Kuwaiti delegation included Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Minister of Defence; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority; retired Lt. Gen. Jamal Mohammed Al-Theyab, Director of the Amir’s Office; Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, Deputy Chairman and CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation; Sheikh Saud Salim Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority and Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Hajiri, Ambassador of Kuwait to Oman.
