Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visits Bahrain, discusses joint Gulf initiatives

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's recent visit to Bahrain has marked a reaffirmation of the enduring bond between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain. The high-profile meeting, held in the esteemed presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, witnessed discussions on crucial aspects of bilateral relations and regional developments.

The leaders, recognizing the shared commitment to the welfare of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens, engaged in talks to strengthen joint Gulf initiatives. The discussions explored avenues for enhanced cooperation on both regional and international matters, emphasizing aligned strategic visions between the two nations.

During the visit, Sheikh Mohamed extended his heartfelt condolences to King Hamad over the recent loss of Major Abdullah Al Noaimi and his comrades, who valiantly sacrificed their lives in Somalia. In a reciprocal gesture, King Hamad expressed sympathies for the fallen heroes of the UAE, highlighting the strong bonds of solidarity between the two countries.

The leaders emphasized the pivotal role of UAE-Bahrain relations in advancing collective Gulf and Arab endeavours, aiming to enhance regional security and stability, particularly in the border region. King Hamad praised the robust collaboration and shared strategic goals, expressing pride in the high level of cooperation and ongoing collaboration between the two nations.

As part of his visit, Sheikh Mohamed visited the headquarters of the Royal Guard, where he extended condolences to the family of Major Abdullah Al Noaimi, underscoring the sacrifice and dedication of Emirati martyrs. The visit further solidified the ties between the UAE and Bahrain, marking a crucial milestone in the diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Further, Sheikh Muhammed posted on X about the visit, that they “discussed various aspects of the fraternal relations between our two countries and our joint work to strengthen these relations and move them forward for the good development and prosperity of our two peoples”.
