A stunning wedding gown with 50,890 crystals embroidered on it has now broken the Guinness World Record for the most crystals on a bridal outfit. The outfit was unveiled during the S Sposaitalia Collezioni fashion show in Milan on April 14, 2023, after four months of planning.
Michela Ferriero, a prestigious name in bridal fashion, created the dress. The brand's record-breaking dress featured Swarovski crystals. The crystals were individually sewn into the transparent fabric of the form-fitting dress over the course of more than 200 hours by a team of seamstresses.
All crystals utilised for the record attempt must be genuine and commercially available in accordance with Guinness World Records regulations. Additionally, they should contain a certificate of quality and authenticity.
The jewel-encrusted wedding gown was worn by model Marche Gelany Cavalcante during the illustrious bridal event, and the Guinness World Records posted a video of it on Thursday.
More than 18,000 people liked this video. A user of Instagram commented on it by writing, “whos job was it to count and confirm cause they need a raise ”. Another person wrote, “The dress and model are both stunning!”. However, not all people were impressed. An Instagram user wrote, “It’s looking rich yet the design is not appealing to me. Just a regular design”.
