Practical and internal assessment to be completed by December 23: CBSE

The CBSE board has notified that schools must complete practical and internal assessments by December 23. Penal action will be taken against institutes that do not submit the marks for the board exams within the stipulated time.

The board has given schools time to organise the practicals, internal assessments, and project work. Marks can be uploaded on the same date the tests are held. External examiners will not be present for the practical exams, and school teachers will be in charge of supervision, reported The Indian Express.

The board warned that if the marks are not submitted by December 23, the result may be published without including the term-1 practicals, internal assessments, and project marks. Schools may also have to pay a fine of up to Rs 50,000. The institutes are also at the risk of losing affiliation.

Board examination of term-1 for X and XII students will start on November 16 and 17.
