NEET 2021: NTA cautions candidates against fake notices

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a statement on Wednesday saying that a fake notification is being circulated through various means, including social media, that NEET to be conducted on 5th September. In the public notice dated 7th July 2021 and signed by the senior director of exams, NTA says that the notification with the subject line "Conduct of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG)- 2021" is fake, and not issued by it.

The mentioned fake or unauthorized notice has been viewed seriously by it, the agency said. It further noted that some unscrupulous elements with a motive are circulating the fake information to misguide aspiring candidates, their parents or guardians, and the public at large.

NTA said that finalizing the date for NEET (UG) 2021 is still in consultation with the concerned stakeholders given the pandemic, and it asked the public to pay no heed to such misinformation. It also asked them to rely only on notifications published in www.nta.ac.in and http://ntaneet.nic.in.
